With my team at Studio RLON we created a wall of light for the restaurant TISK in Berlin Neukölln. The restaurant specializes in local farm-to-table menues invites the guests to follow from up close how their meals are prepared. For emphasizing this open kitchen concept and still softly but clearly dividing the space behind the counter from the dining area we installed 60 meters of fabric mounted on custom made curtain tracks that follow the shape of the counter. A set of 79 dimmable illuminants with different circuits for each layer of the structure, enables the hosts to adapt the light atmosphere to the moods of the different times of the evening. The open kitchen becomes a stage with full functional light in the work areas without shining too bright into the cosy dining area.
